More wind power worldwide with VENSYS technology

The addition of 2,243 turbines with VENSYS technology and a plus of 4,810 MW mean there was an overall output of 32,000 MW worldwide at the start of 2018.

In 2017, 2,243 new wind turbines using VENSYS technology and featuring an output of 4,810 MW were added to the grid, with China and Australia being growth leaders.

Our German production facilities turned out 26 turbines in 2017 that were destined for individually-managed VENSYS projects in Germany, France, the UK and the USA, among them eleven 3 MW turbines. Goldwind, our major licensee globally, erected 2,215 new turbines in 2017 with an overall output of 4,752 MW, particularly in China, the USA, Chile and Australia.

As of February 2018, almost 18,000 turbines using VENSYS technology and featuring an output of roughly 32,000 MW were thus connected to the grid worldwide.
